We have Sunday School classes for every age range starting at 9am on Sunday mornings. Please come join us and connect to a group of likeminded people who can help you accomplish the purposes God has for your life.
Join us for Sunday morning worship at 10:15am. Our worship service features blended music, meaning we sing traditional hymns, southern gospel tunes, and contemporary praise songs. We also ensure that Scripture and prayer hold a central role in every service.
Every Wednesday night our church comes together for a family meal* from 5-6 PM. Afterwards we break out into small groups. Adults have prayer meeting. 7th-12th graders go to youth group. What does HHBC believe?
What denomination are you aligned with?
Do you have children's church?
It’s not uncommon for parents to ask if we provide children’s church. While we fully understand how difficult it can be for a young child to sit through worship service, there are a number of reasons why we have decided not to remove them from for a separate children’s church.
First, children need to see their parents worship the Lord. Because children very often learn by watching and mimicking their parents, it is incredibly important that they get the opportunity to observe their parents’ relationship with the Lord week in and week out. They need to see their parents pray. They need to hear their parents sing worship, even if it is off key. They need to watch their parents take sermon notes. We believe this has a strong shaping influence on children.
Second, Scripture has much to say about how the gospel binds us together across ethnic, economic, and generational boundaries. Children ought to be included in this. While children do need some biblical teaching that is targeted to their age range and interest, it is not healthy for children to always be separated out from all the benefits a Christian adult community has to offer them. Children need to interact with and worship with Christians of other generations. And our worship service needs the sweetness that young hearts in Christ bring to it. So, we strive to use our Sunday School and Wednesday evening classes to give children age appropriate instruction and reserve Sunday service for the whole family to worship together.
